Brancaster Brewery
Our 5 barrel (180gallon) per week brewery with our master brewer Andy Skene.
The Brancaster Brewery opened with its first brew in October 2003 adjacent to The Jolly Sailors. It has been built inside a former ocean going steel container and is believed to be the only brewery of its kind in the world.
We produce 2 main beers:
Old Les - is a 5% abv copper coloured premium ale extra hopped to avoid the over sweetness characterised in many beers of this strength.
IPA - standing for India Pale Ale and is as expected a very pale, fruity session beer ideal for hot days
Both beers are available all year round in draught form at the Jolly Sailors. We also produce the beers in bottle conditioned form available from behind the bar and many local specialist retailers. Mail order can be arranged for the bottle beers please enquire at enquiries@jollysailors.co.uk
